and ticketing for Bangladesh Railway. The project
is under going and this is the pioneer project
for Bangladesh where the project is running
BOT basis named DSLCNS consortium.
Computerized Seat Reservation & Ticketing
System for Bangladesh Railway will provide advanced
technological standards .The World Class Technology
& Infrastructure. Ensure efficiency, stability
and effectiveness. Also has the future scope
to establish a framework that will allow operating
and running the CSRTS from any world location
through the World Wide Web
The Scenario
A passenger comes to the POS (Point of Sales)
for his desired ticket. Asks the Booking Clerk
for the availability of the ticket for a particular
journey date, for certain destination, Class
and number of Seats. The Booking Clerk makes
an inquiry for that. Looking for the availability
of the Seats compliant with the Journey date,
Class, Origin and Destination Station the
passenger wants. If positive, he proceeds
for issuing the ticket as per the confirmation
of the passenger. Otherwise the passenger
has to make alternate choice.
Before issuing the Ticket, the passenger
has to pay for that according to the fixed
train fare by Bangladesh Railway. Train Fare
may differ in relation to the class, origin
and destination station.
Mainly four types of Tickets could be issued
as per the requirements of the passenger.
They are: Regular, on-Quota (Standing), Remote
Joining (e.g. Dhaka-Comilla-Chittagong) and
Return Ticket (Ticket for Chittagong to Dhaka,
issuing from Dhaka).
In any kind of interruption while issuing
the ticket, the Booking Clerk could cancel
that specific ticket and proceed. If the passenger
wants to refund his ticket he could do it
in accordance with the ticket refund rules
stated behind each ticket.
There is another part of the Ticketing Operation.
That is the Administrative Part, which is
operated and maintained by the Administrator
of the Station.
The Administrative
Part consists of some Administrative Tasks
like:
1. Seat Quota Allotment
2. Seat Blocking & Seat Releasing

Delay)

Add)
